DRUMMER BOY AND GUITAR BOY LOVE

You got to feel the love, when two members of the band start engaging in some drunken bondage. The ‘gag’ was for one’s rum induced turrets and the kiss was because, well, we gimps deserve some love sometimes.

NEW MUSIC VIDEO! GREAT SHOWS! OLD FRIENDS! AND CRAZY MAGIC TRICKS!

As you may have seen via our Facebook or Twitter, we’re teasing you with a ten day countdown to our video going online on Halloween. We recorded it at our show in Cheltenham last saturday. It was such a great show, in the sweatiest and most intimate room we’ve ever played in. Normally, we are hosted by the fantastic Frog and Fiddle, but on this occasion it was G Bar that showed us off. Cheltenham is always such a great place to play. I’d imagine it has a lot to do with being greatly situated between Bristol and Birmingham, and it’s massive student body. Lots of young, Hardcore and Alt-Rock fans, whom usually pilgrimage to 2000 Trees festival every year, make up the audiences we play to in that town and they never let the evening down. They bring their deadline and/or other frustration with them, drink, sing and let loose their inhibitions to our songs and it fills us with nothing but pride and honour.

Also, on saturday, a few old friends made it down ( or up, given their scholarly location). Friends who have been there since the conception of our band. Back when it was just Jack and I, drinking and pretending to be rockstars ( no change there…). It was so great to see them, and know that they’ll appear on our latest video. One particular friend, Nick,  also made the trip to our Radar Love show in Derby to see us play with Max Raptor last thursday as well. Fair to say, we consider him and many others, somewhat, disciples of our band. They help out so much, show nothing but support, and it’s so encouraging having them there when we play and afterwards, when we hang out.

After last saturday’s show in Cheltenham, we went back to our lead singer and bass player’s house, down the road from the venue. We had many people from the gig come back with us and carry on the party until the really, early hours. Stupid drinking games, singing to Reuben and Title Fight, trying not to get lost in translation with some of our international guests after they had become inordinately inebriated and witnessed some of the finest magic tricks I have ever seen, performed by Jack and Ben’s house mate. ( I was very drunk, he could have just made toast and I would have been amazed. However, what he did was definitely, amazing).

All in all it was a great weekend of shows. Two MASSIVE shows, that so many people made it down to see. We have a great group behind us, and great ambition as a band. We’re always doing something new, and we’d love it if any new readers and likers of this blog, Facebook, Twitter, or live shows will follow us and watch us as we become bigger than Foo Fighters, Barry Manilow and Slade.

THIS HALLOWEEN

MORE FROM LAST NIGHT

LAST NIGHT, HECTIC SHOW!

TOLD YOU IT GOT SWEATY AND MANIC

WHAT A SHOW! THANK YOU DERBY, RADAR LOVE!

Last night was so so fucking great. What a fantastic crowd, so open to listen to and get involved with all of the evenings bands and not just the headliner, Max Raptor. We played our entire EP ‘Needles’ and a new song ( one of many that we are writing and will have ready for next year).

There was such a brilliant vibe the whole night. We, Terrors, opened the show, jack jumped off stage to engage the crowd straight away, meanwhile the rest of us battled fatigue or flu to get through the show, but luckily it went flawlessly. Then came Gunning For Tamar, another great band and we were very privileged to be on the bill with them. And finally, came the force of Max Raptor. They really did break the hatches down and just gave the crowd what the wanted and more. Check them out if you havent already.

We feel so privileged to have played last nights gig at The Venue Radar Love in Derby. We and everyone killed it. and hopefully, it should get some good reviews from the multitude of journo’s and photographers there. Local press and I think Kerrang.

Catch us in Cheltenham, playing G Bar on saturday night.

More coming later tonight about the underground music industry of today and which food one should or shouldnt have before a gig.

Meanwhile, await live footage of the gig last night on TerrorsMusic channel on Youtube and listen to our EP ‘Needles’ here…

XOXOXOXO

SYNTH GENERATION. NEW AGE OF GUITAR.

In the early 80s, with the ascendancy of synth music, rock and pop magazines stated that the guitar would die. Kraftwerk, New Order, Depeche Mode, Human League and fucking Gary Newman made the journalists of popular music believe that the guitar music was over. However, with any occasion of force fed music comes a turn for audiences desires. The Smiths, Jesus and Mary Chain, Melvins, Sonic Youth, Pixies and come the 90s, the Nirvana led grunge movement, showed the world of music that people were not ready to say goodbye to the art of guitar playing. Rock music in its roots and constantly developed upon.

And now, in 2013, there is no difference. You just need to be able to observe the correlations within scenes, social culture, politics and the quality of the music at the precipice of the mainstream. Our lives have been flooded by modern day electro music, new age, hybrid synth pop and even ‘rock’ bands incorporating synth into their work ( some bands do it well, but dont get me started on fucking Bastile).

I feel that now, we have become over fed with repetitive, electro music, and if you begin to look at the likes of Dinosaur Jnr, Gnarwolves and Touche Amore and their collective popularity, one cant help but notice that the demand for new, fresh, guitar music is in demand. Yes, electro rock has done well, and some of it is great, so it is probably going to stay and continue to develop, but the raw, guitar sound is back. And it is coming back full of vigour and charisma.

And on that note, you should, if its ‘your bag’, keep your eye on new guitar bands.

We are a new guitar band, and we’d love to have you all listen to us, and use us as an avenue to discover the new trend of guitar music that in the near future will be a main force in music again.

Here’s our latest record, NEEDLES.

Terrors- Whore (Stokeley Remix)

Terrors- Whore (Stokeley Remix)

Recently we collaborated with Cheltenham-based South Walian songwriter/producer Stokeley. He did this amazing remix of our track ‘Whore’ (Taken from our sophomore E.P ‘Needles’).

This ambient re-emagining of ‘Whore’ displays the Emo/Post-Rock sound we honed on ‘Needles’ in a new light. Don’t hesitate to take  a listen and let us know what you think, we’d love to hear your thoughts on it.

If you like this track check out the original and our other music here – http://terrorsmusic.bandcamp.com/album/needles
